OpenAI is seeking a Research Engineer for the Applied Group to transform groundbreaking AI research into real-world applications. You will design and deploy advanced machine learning models, collaborate with researchers and engineers, and optimize pipelines for production.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy advanced machine learning models solving real-world problems
- Collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered solutions
- Implement scalable data pipelines and optimize models for performance and accuracy
- Stay current with ML/AI developments, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge
- Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure continuous value delivery
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in deep learning and transformers models
- Proficiency in PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
