Join the AWS team to build the DevOps Agent, a frontier agentic AI system designed to investigate and remediate operational incidents. You will shape the technical architecture and development of systems that integrate seamlessly into customer environments to reduce ops load. This role sits at the intersection of AI and software engineering, requiring hands-on development and architectural design for large-scale distributed services.
Responsibilities
- Shape the technical direction and architecture of the AWS DevOps Agent service
- Develop agentic approaches to investigate and resolve live system incidents
- Design systems that learn from investigations to make systemic improvements
- Collaborate with customers to translate real-world challenges into product capabilities
- Balance innovation with operational excellence and security standards
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new/existing systems
- Experience with large-scale, multi-tiered, or distributed software applications
- Proficiency in C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- Strong Object Oriented Design skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
