Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the AI Studios Engineering team within Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios. You will build intelligent systems for 'Nara,' an AI-native content creation platform that empowers creators to produce professional animation and live-action VFX content at scale. This role involves developing production-quality code for AI-powered creative tools, integrating ML models, and collaborating with creative professionals to streamline cinematic workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software components for the AI-native content creation platform (Nara).
- Implement features across the stack including backend services, media processing pipelines, APIs, and ML model integrations.
- Collaborate with ML scientists, product managers, and creative professionals to deliver solutions.
- Integrate with industry-standard DCC tools such as Adobe Animate, After Effects, Maya, and Storyboard Pro.
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews and on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems or backend services.
- Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Understanding of API design and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including non-engineering stakeholders.
- Interest in AI/ML applications in entertainment and media processing.
Nice to Have
- Experience with media processing pipelines or video/VFX workflows.
- Familiarity with machine learning model deployment and inference.
- Knowledge of Digital Content Creation (DCC) tool ecosystems.
- Experience working in agile environments with iterative product development.
