TikTok is seeking a Tech Lead AI Software Engineer to drive the technical vision and end-to-end delivery of its AI-Generated Effects (AIGE) system. This role sits at the intersection of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Computer Graphics, focusing on empowering creators with multimodal foundation models and interactive 2D/3D technologies. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams to transform ambiguous creative needs into reliable, scalable product features.
Responsibilities
- Define technical vision and roadmap for TikTok's AR Effect Generation AI system
- Own end-to-end architecture from problem discovery through rollout and maintenance
- Lead research and productization of generative and agentic AI techniques for visual content
- Establish robust experimentation, evaluation, and observability practices including A/B testing
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and researchers
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- 2+ years experience working with LLM/AIGC empowered products
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design
