About the Role
OpenAI seeks a product engineer for the Statsig team to build experimentation, feature rollout, and analytics systems that help ship products with speed and safety. The role involves working across frontend, backend, SDK, data, and infrastructure to make complex workflows simple for product teams.
Responsibilities
- Build product experiences and platform capabilities for experimentation, feature flags, dynamic configuration, rollout safety, and analytics.
- Partner with product teams to understand launch workflows and measurement needs, turning insights into durable platform features.
- Improve SDK and server-side systems for fast, reliable, and safe experimentation and configuration.
- Design workflows that simplify creating experiments, interpreting results, monitoring rollouts, and adjusting launches.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering judgment and experience building product surfaces on serious platform and infrastructure constraints.
- Deep care for developer experience and ability to make complex concepts intuitive.
- Experience with systems where performance, reliability, and product quality matter simultaneously.
- Ability to move between customer conversations, product design, backend architecture, SDK behavior, and data-informed decisions.
