OpenAI is seeking a Senior AI Support Engineer to join its User Operations team in Dublin. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, provide expert guidance on OpenAI’s platform, and help define next-generation customer support workflows using AI automation. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving high-impact production incidents.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues including API failures, integration challenges, and production incidents
- Provide end-to-end ownership of customer escalations through debugging logs and system analysis
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to improve systems, reduce bugs, and scale solutions
- Leverage scripting and AI capabilities to automate operational workflows and improve team efficiency
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in User Operations, Engineering, or Support Engineering within fast-paced tech environments
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for automation and tool integration
- Expert-level SaaS troubleshooting skills with rapid ability to grasp new technologies
- Strong enterprise communication skills and calm demeanor during high-stakes incident calls
