Abundant is seeking a senior AI Research Engineer to lead foundational research and execution at the intersection of model reasoning, alignment, and synthetic data generation. In this on-site Dublin role, you will architect high-impact datasets, design reward signals, and collaborate with top AI labs to push SOTA boundaries while productizing research into live systems. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in a relevant field with a strong publication record and a strategic vision for AI safety and governance.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute core research agendas to advance model reasoning and intelligence at scale
- Design and iterate on high-impact datasets and large-scale benchmarks focusing on alignment and safety
- Autonomously identify and manage long-running research projects critical to scaling data for AGI
- Collaborate with engineering teams on data pipelines, internal tooling, and deep learning implementations
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or NLP with a world-class publication record (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
- Proven track record in productizing research, including high-stakes evaluation and benchmarking
- Strategic perspective on societal impacts and AI safety/governance policy
