Abundant is seeking a Senior AI Safety Engineer to embed safety principles into research workflows and products. This role focuses on post-training safety, high-stakes evaluation, and the responsible deployment of general-purpose AI systems. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in ML with strategic vision for societal impact.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute foundational capability research in long-horizon tasks and simulation.
- Establish Abundant as a leader in AI post-training safety methodologies.
- Build novel tooling for safety goals, including observability and logging infrastructure.
- Embed AI safety principles into company workflows and product development.
Requirements
- PhD in CS, ML, or NLP with world-class publication record (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
- Proven experience shipping research to production, focusing on post-training and distillation.
- Expertise in large-scale agent systems, orchestration frameworks, and distributed execution.
- Strong track record in high-stakes evaluation and large-scale benchmarking.
