About the Role
Elayne is building an AI platform for estate settlement, turning messy legal and financial documents into court-ready filings with traceable provenance. This Senior AI Engineer will own the AI surface end-to-end—LLM-driven extraction, entity resolution, document generation, and the evaluation layer—working directly with the founding team. The role is full-time and on-site in New York City.
Responsibilities
- Own the AI surface end to end: models, pipelines, evaluation, and shipping standards.
- Build LLM-driven extraction from messy multi-format documents with citations, confidence scoring, and human-in-the-loop review.
- Perform entity resolution across banks, bureaus, government records, and family documents into a single source-linked estate record.
- Generate court-ready filings from structured estate data.
- Create the evaluation and observability layer: ground truth, regression detection, and cost/latency control across model providers.
Requirements
- Shipped LLM systems to production for real users (extraction, RAG, agents, or document intelligence).
- Experience with correctness-critical systems and making model outputs defensible.
- Strong Python; comfortable owning infrastructure (pipelines, vector stores, multi-provider routing) without a platform team.
- Early-stage experience or founding the ML function inside a company.
