Elayne is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build the core intelligence layer for estate settlement, an complex problem involving document understanding and entity resolution. You will own the end-to-end development of agentic workflows, evaluation systems, and production infrastructure that ensure reliability and provenance in financial and legal contexts. This role requires deep expertise in Python and LLM-based systems, focusing on correctness rather than just generative capability.
Responsibilities
Build AI systems to extract and reconcile entities (people, assets, liabilities) from messy, conflicting documents and external data sources.
Develop agentic financial discovery systems that reason across fragmented data to identify missing or incorrect information.
Implement confidence scoring, provenance tracking, and human-in-the-loop validation to ensure defensible outputs.
Create robust evaluation frameworks including ground truth creation, regression testing, and observability pipelines.
Own production infrastructure aspects such as model routing, latency optimization, cost management, and failure mode handling.
Requirements
Proven experience building and operating AI systems in production environments.
End-to-end ownership of document intelligence, extraction, agents, retrieval, or model-driven systems.
