Senior AI Engineer in Healthcare Startup in Zürich (80-100%)

PlaynVoice is an early-stage healthtech startup building an AI scribe to automate clinical documentation for mental health professionals. We are hiring a Senior AI Engineer to own prompt systems, evaluate LLMs, and build production-grade pipelines that turn audio and transcription into reliable clinical notes. This role works closely with psychologists and a small cross-functional team, prioritizing fast iteration and measurable output quality. Remote-first with flexible hours and a coworking space in Zürich.

• Design, iterate, and maintain scalable prompt systems for high-quality clinical documentation.
• Benchmark and select the best LLM solutions for clinical note generation.
• Build practical evaluation pipelines covering audio, transcription, and LLM output.
• Define output quality standards with psychologists and the product team.
• Design experiments and data labeling strategies, ship to production, and measure real-world performance.

• 2+ years of systematic prompt engineering and building structured prompt systems at scale.
• Strong software engineering foundations in Python and cloud infrastructure (Azure).
• Ability to understand Swiss German for checking AI notes against source audio; strong High German for evaluating written clinical output.
• Pragmatic startup mindset: ship fast, iterate on real-world feedback, avoid over-engineering.
