Browserbase is seeking a Software Engineer to build and scale the Agent Platform, a framework for AI-driven browser automation. The role involves developing developer-first APIs, collaborating with frontier AI labs, and deploying production AI solutions. The ideal candidate has strong coding skills in TypeScript, experience with AI agents/LLMs, and a passion for open source.
Responsibilities
Build, operate, and grow the Agent Platform framework with developer-first APIs
Design and implement tools for simple and powerful web automation
Work with frontier AI labs (OpenAI, Google) to improve models and benchmark capabilities
Deploy production-ready AI solutions impacting millions of customers
Help define, scope, and prioritize projects for developer tooling
Document and share knowledge with the team
Requirements
Strong coding skills: preferably TypeScript, also Python/Go
Experience building developer tools, frameworks, or libraries
Experience building AI agents/LLMs, distributed systems, or applying reinforcement learning
Familiarity with web automation frameworks (Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium) or web scraping
Track record of open source contributions or public developer projects
High agency, strong ownership, ability to work independently
