Artisan is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to lead the architecture and behavior of agentic AI systems. This role involves designing multi-agent coordination, tool use, and reliable execution loops for production environments. The ideal candidate will have deep experience building substantial agentic systems from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement agent execution loops, planning strategies, and tool interfaces.
- Build multi-agent systems with delegation, coordination, and context sharing.
- Ensure reliable execution of complex stateful workflows with recovery strategies.
- Improve retrieval, memory, and skill representation for agents.
- Lead technical decisions on model selection and evaluation methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven track record of building and shipping substantial agentic systems.
- Deep practical experience with LLM tool use, planning, and context engineering.
- Experience implementing multi-agent coordination or parallel agent/tool execution.
- Hands-on experience with browser or computer automation in agentic contexts.
- Strong software engineering skills in Python or TypeScript.
