Amazon's Selection and Catalog Systems AI Lab is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to develop pioneering AI research and products for online shopping. The role involves building state-of-the-art LLMs, generative and agentic AI, and scaling them to billions of products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to Amazon's scientific innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel AI solutions for Amazon's product catalog
- Develop and train state-of-the-art LLMs, diffusion models, and other generative AI models
- Build and deploy autonomous AI agents in Amazon's production ecosystem
- Scale AI models to handle billions of diverse products across multiple languages and geographies
- Conduct research in autonomous AI agents, generative AI, language modeling, multi-modal computer vision, diffusion models, and reinforcement learning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into Amazon's production ecosystem
- Contribute to the scientific community through publications and conference presentations
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications
- PhD or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
