Senior Applied Scientist, ASCS AI Lab Team - Seattle

Amazon's Selection and Catalog Systems AI Lab is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to develop pioneering AI research and products for online shopping. The role involves building state-of-the-art LLMs, generative and agentic AI, and scaling them to billions of products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to Amazon's scientific innovation.

• Design and implement novel AI solutions for Amazon's product catalog
• Develop and train state-of-the-art LLMs, diffusion models, and other generative AI models
• Build and deploy autonomous AI agents in Amazon's production ecosystem
• Scale AI models to handle billions of diverse products across multiple languages and geographies
• Conduct research in autonomous AI agents, generative AI, language modeling, multi-modal computer vision, diffusion models, and reinforcement learning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into Amazon's production ecosystem
• Contribute to the scientific community through publications and conference presentations

• 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications
• PhD or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related language
