Amazon Transportation Services is seeking an Applied Scientist with deep Computer Vision expertise to develop and productionize CV models for their middle-mile transportation network. The role involves tackling large-scale visual understanding problems, including asset inspection, object detection, and tracking, using modern deep learning and foundation model architectures. You will own the scientific approach from problem formulation through production, partnering with engineering teams to deploy models that drive automated operational decisions.

• Develop and apply visual perception and representation learning across image and video domains
• Own large-scale model training, fine-tuning, and learning from heterogeneous or weakly supervised data
• Tackle real-world CV challenges at scale such as class imbalance and inconsistent capture conditions
• Partner with stakeholders to translate operational problems into well-defined CV objectives
• Design rigorous evaluation frameworks tied to real-world business costs
• Build and maintain custom training and inference pipelines for production deployment

• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
