Join Amazon's Long Term Planning and Forecasting team to build PIXIE, an agentic AI platform that routes natural-language planning questions to specialist agents. You will design and operate core platform services including agent runtime, retrieval-augmented generation, and automated evaluation infrastructure for large-scale data grounding. This role combines distributed systems engineering with frontier applied AI in a high-visibility environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build production systems at the intersection of LLMs, multi-agent orchestration, and large-scale data retrieval
- Develop automated evaluation harnesses for non-deterministic LLM outputs including hallucination detection and drift monitoring
- Implement authorization-aware retrieval and maintain tool/agent registries
- Collaborate with scientists on grounding methodology and causal analytics productionization
- Operate system reliability through on-call rotations and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new/existing systems
- Experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
