Accenture Federal Services is hiring a Generative AI Applications Engineer to build secure, reliable, and scalable GenAI applications for federal missions. This hands-on role covers agentic workflows, RAG, prompt/policy design, LLM evaluation, and platform integration. You will own the end-to-end path from use case evaluation to production deployment and operational excellence, partnering with product, security, data, and SRE teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship mission-grade GenAI applications with agentic workflows and RAG systems.
- Apply agent frameworks and orchestration patterns (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel) for task decomposition, tool use, and guardrails.
- Integrate with cloud AI services such as AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, and Amazon Kendra.
- Evaluate and select LLMs for quality, safety, latency, and cost; author and test prompts and policies.
- Build retrieval pipelines and vector search solutions using Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch, pgvector, FAISS, or Chroma.
- Instrument metrics, logs, and traces; run A/B experiments; maintain incident playbooks and safety guardrails.
- Define SLIs/SLOs for quality, latency, safety, and cost; optimize token usage and spend.
- Ship reusable platform components including SDKs, CI/CD templates, Terraform/IaC modules, and evaluation harnesses.
