TikTok is seeking a Research Engineer to design and build high-speed network infrastructure supporting large-scale AI/LLM applications. The role involves developing communication frameworks, optimizing network protocols, and creating systems for monitoring and diagnosing AI network performance at hyperscale. Candidates will work on the intersection of software-defined networking and AI hardware co-design.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy high-speed network technologies for AI/LLM workloads
- Develop platforms for monitoring, analysis, and diagnosis of large-scale AI networks
- Research and optimize high-performance AI communication frameworks and protocol stacks
- Build next-generation AI network infrastructure supporting heterogeneous hardware
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or Network Engineering
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or Go
- Strong understanding of computer network architecture and programming
- Familiarity with RDMA, congestion control, and high-speed network systems
