Internship at TikTok's recommendation algorithm team, focusing on developing and optimizing machine learning models for content recommendation, safety, and fairness. Interns will work on end-to-end ML solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop industry-leading recommendation systems to enhance user experience and platform safety.
- Deliver end-to-end machine learning solutions for content understanding, LLMs, robustness, and fairness.
- Optimize the full-stack ML pipeline from algorithm design to system infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft product strategies and drive growth in global markets.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD in computer science, machine learning, or related field.
- Good knowledge of theoretical and empirical research in addressing research problems.
- Solid experience with at least one deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Familiarity with deep neural network architectures.
Nice to Have
- Research experience in applied machine learning, ML infrastructure, large-scale recommendation systems, or market-facing ML products.
