Machine Learning Engineer

An AI innovation team is hiring an ML Engineer / Data Scientist to build next-generation AI recruiting agents for one of Japan's largest staffing businesses. The product is an autonomous, multi-agent system that automates hiring workflow end-to-end. You will work on LLM/AI agent evaluation, matching accuracy optimization, and data-driven product contribution.

• Design evaluation systems, datasets, and metrics to assess AI agent output quality
• Execute structured improvement loops (prompt tuning, pipeline refinement, guardrail implementation)
• Build monitoring systems to ensure production-level performance
• Conduct data analysis to improve candidate-job matching performance
• Design evaluation metrics and monitoring frameworks
• Validate and enhance ML-based matching logic
• Work closely with PMs and engineers in a fast-moving cross-functional team
• Translate staffing business workflows into technical improvements
• Contribute to product direction through data insights

• Computer Science or related degree
• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and LLMs
• Native-level Japanese
