About the Role
SumUp is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of AI models and algorithms powering customer support. The role involves building and deploying scalable ML systems, optimizing LLM-based solutions like RAG and chatbots, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will architect production-ready AI solutions and improve operational efficiency across a global fintech platform.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop and deploy AI solutions and systems in production environments
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and developers to deliver AI solutions for Customer Support
- Develop and maintain ML infrastructure and pipelines for data processing, model training, and serving
- Optimize and fine-tune machine learning models for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
- Collect, preprocess and clean large text datasets for model training and evaluation
- Apply software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, and unit testing
- Integrate machine learning solutions into software applications and platforms
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related engineering field
- 8+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer building scalable ML/AI solutions
- Experience with AI products such as chatbot assistants and RAG systems
