Faculty is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development and deployment of production-grade AI systems for diverse global clients. This role involves designing scalable ML infrastructure, mentoring junior engineers, and acting as a technical advisor to stakeholders in industries like finance, retail, and defense. The ideal candidate combines deep software engineering expertise with strong client-facing communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical scoping and architectural decisions for high-impact ML systems
- Design and build production-grade ML software, tools, and scalable infrastructure
- Define and implement best practices for deploying machine learning at scale
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve critical client challenges
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners
- Mentor and develop junior engineers
Requirements
- Significant experience operationalising models built with TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Deep expertise in software engineering with strong Python skills
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with ownership and autonomy
