Join Cambridge Mobile Telematics as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of novel foundation models for vehicle telematics data. You will design, pre-train, fine-tune, and deploy large-scale AI systems focused on risk assessment, driver behavior modeling, and crash detection. This role involves pioneering self-supervised learning techniques, building scalable training pipelines, and mentoring junior scientists while translating cutting-edge research into production-ready mobility solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, pre-training, fine-tuning, and deployment of foundation models for vehicle telematics
- Develop algorithms for automotive physics and human driving behavior modeling
- Pioneer advanced self-supervised learning techniques for multi-modal sensor data
- Build and manage scalable training and inference pipelines using distributed frameworks
- Integrate AI models into production systems and optimize for cloud/edge deployment
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the broader AI/ML strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in AI, CS, EE, Physics, Math, or related field
- 7+ years of professional experience in AI/ML
- 3+ years developing and deploying foundation models, preferably for sequential/spatio-temporal data
