About the Role
SurveyMonkey is hiring a Software Engineer to build AI agent systems and LLM-powered product experiences. The role combines backend engineering with rapid prototyping and production deployment of AI workflows, including intelligent data agents and analytics-driven automation. Candidates should have strong TypeScript and system architecture skills, plus experience applying LLMs to real-world customer problems. This is a full-time remote role with preference for San Francisco Bay Area candidates.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype AI-powered product concepts and proof-of-concept solutions
- Design and build production-ready LLM pipelines and AI agent systems
- Develop AI-driven applications that leverage customer and marketing data for insights and automation
- Build intelligent data agents that answer analytics and business intelligence questions
- Evaluate and recommend AI architectures, models, and frameworks based on scalability and product needs
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to launch new product initiatives
Requirements
- 4–12 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong backend engineering and system architecture experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern software development practices
- Product-minded approach with customer empathy and business understanding
- Ability to rapidly prototype while building maintainable production systems
