About the Role
Product Pulse develops AI that operates computers like humans, navigating browsers and processing documents to automate finance operations. As an Applied AI Engineer, you will work on browser agent reliability, document understanding, and inference optimization, building production systems that improve accuracy and speed. This role is for someone who thrives on turning research into production, working on UI interaction, unstructured data parsing, and tool use.
Responsibilities
- Push state-of-the-art across core automation capabilities: UI interaction, unstructured data parsing, tool use
- Build adaptive systems that self-heal when environments change
- Design fine-tuning pipelines that learn from customer-specific workflows
- Optimize latency across the stack using model selection, quantization, caching, and routing strategies
Requirements
- Strong Python and ML frameworks, particularly PyTorch
- Eval-and-metric mindset focused on production metrics
- Comfort with messy data and making it useful
- Track record of shipping end-to-end systems
- Crisp communication about your work
- Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate, in-person 5 days a week
Nice to Have
- Experience with RL, retrieval systems, or agent-based systems
