Pedestal Health (formerly Target RWE) is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join its Technology team and build the next generation of real-world evidence solutions for life sciences. In this hands-on role, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning systems with a focus on LLM applications, translating state-of-the-art research into production-grade, enterprise-ready platforms. You will work with large-scale structured and unstructured clinical data and serve as a technical leader, helping cultivate a strong ML engineering culture across the organization.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable ML software systems for large-scale healthcare analytics and real-world evidence generation
• Translate state-of-the-art LLM research into production-ready solutions with measurable customer and internal value
• Work with complex, large-scale structured and unstructured clinical data in cloud environments, ensuring pipeline quality and reliability
• Build drift detection, performance degradation monitoring, and observability tooling for production models
• Collaborate with software engineers, research scientists, and product teams to build ML-native enterprise platforms
• Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and error handling for all deployed ML systems
• Contribute to ML engineering best practices, code reviews, documentation, and technical mentorship
