NextexAI is an early-stage industrial AI startup building machine-level intelligence for textile manufacturing. We are seeking a Founding Computer Vision / Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy computer vision systems that detect defects, production anomalies, and sustainability metrics across textile production. This role offers high ownership, direct access to real industrial datasets, and the opportunity to shape the company's AI architecture from day one.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy computer vision systems for industrial textile inspection
Build object detection, segmentation, classification, and anomaly detection models using real-world manufacturing data
Develop image acquisition, preprocessing, augmentation, labeling, and validation pipelines
Build and maintain large-scale industrial image and video datasets
Develop multimodal AI systems combining visual data, machine events, sensor signals, PLC/SCADA data, and production metadata
Optimize models for edge deployment and real-time inference in industrial environments
Collaborate with textile engineers and industrial partners to translate manufacturing problems into scalable AI solutions
Contribute to the architecture of NextexAI's edge-to-cloud industrial AI platform
Requirements
Strong background in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related technical fields
