GenLogs, a transportation-technology startup building truck intelligence from a nationwide roadside sensor network, is hiring a Computer Vision Engineer to own CV capabilities end to end — from camera optics and image quality to edge inference and production monitoring. You will build vehicle detection, tracking, OCR, and re-identification systems that run reliably on constrained edge hardware in harsh real-world conditions. The role spans model development, pipeline optimization, evaluation design, and hands-on collaboration with field operations.

• Own computer-vision capabilities from problem definition through field deployment and sustained production performance
• Build systems for vehicle detection, tracking, OCR, attribute extraction, embedding generation, and re-identification
• Optimize multi-model pipelines for latency, throughput, and memory on constrained CPU/GPU edge hardware
• Establish evaluation frameworks tied to real customer outcomes, not just offline accuracy
• Diagnose failures across the full imaging pipeline: camera placement, optics, exposure, encoding, training data, edge compute
• Build monitoring and feedback loops to detect model degradation, environmental shifts, and new failure modes
• Improve annotation strategy and training datasets based on observed production failures
• Work with field operations to test camera configurations and validate improvements in real conditions
