Mistral AI is hiring a Technical Lead for Applied AI in Amsterdam to drive technical strategy and delivery of complex enterprise AI solutions. You will lead a team of Applied AI Engineers while remaining hands-on with critical code, bridging frontier AI research and real-world deployments. The role spans pre-sales through post-implementation, focusing on fine-tuning, RAG, agentic workflows, and custom LLM applications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on critical code for complex AI projects, de-risking key components
- Lead and mentor a team of Applied AI Engineers on GenAI deployments
- Lead technical discussions during pre-sales and translate customer requirements into solutions
- Design and oversee complex AI systems including fine-tuning, RAG, and agentic workflows
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AI tools and best practices
- Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to integrate customer feedback
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field
- 7-8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with 2+ years in technical leadership
- Proven track record leading teams to deliver complex AI projects from prototyping to production
