EPAM Systems is seeking a Chief Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the design and production of AI-native solutions centered on LLMs and agentic systems. This role involves building end-to-end agent workflows, RAG pipelines, and evaluation frameworks while working directly with clients to ensure technical feasibility and business value. The ideal candidate combines deep engineering expertise in Python and cloud infrastructure with strong client-facing skills to drive adoption of generative AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship AI-native systems including agents, workflows, and RAG architectures
- Develop evaluation pipelines and observability tools to measure system performance and utility
- Write production-grade Python code for integrations, APIs, and data access layers
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and end-users to define use cases and validate solutions
- Implement robust agent loop designs handling retries, fallbacks, and human-in-the-loop interventions
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience with a focus on production AI/LLM applications
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel
