About the Role
Databricks is hiring an AI Engineer (Forward Deployed Engineer) to join their AI FDE team in Amsterdam. In this customer-facing role, you'll build and productionize GenAI applications, serve as a trusted technical advisor, and influence the product roadmap. You'll work with cutting-edge LLMOps and ML technologies while collaborating with engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions using the latest techniques from Databricks AI research
- Own production rollouts of consumer and internally facing GenAI applications
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers
- Present at conferences and act as a thought leader
- Collaborate cross-functionally to influence product priorities and roadmap
Requirements
- Experience building GenAI applications with RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, and fine-tuning
- Proficiency with tools like HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy
- Experience deploying production-grade GenAI applications
- Hands-on industry data science experience with pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch
- Experience with cloud ML deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience
