Grupo Egor is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to embed within automotive engineering teams in Lisbon. The role focuses on integrating and governing AI coding agents (like GitHub Copilot and Cursor) to modernize legacy codebases and build agentic systems. You will balance production LLM integration with traditional backend development across C# and Java stacks.
Responsibilities
- Embed within engineering teams to plan, build, and ship features using AI coding agents.
- Configure and govern AI development tools, defining standards and guardrails for AI-generated code.
- Adapt agentic workflows to legacy environments (Delphi, COBOL, etc.) for refactoring and modernization.
- Design and operate agentic systems including orchestration, RAG, planning, and memory.
- Integrate commercial and open-source LLMs into production workflows.
- Contribute to production code in modern (C#, .NET, React) and legacy stacks.
Requirements
- More than 8 years of backend experience.
- More than 2 years of hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic systems in production.
- Experience with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
- Proficiency in scalable web services, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
