Checkr is seeking a Staff Operations AI Engineer to architect and build intelligent systems that power their AI-driven operations. This role focuses on designing robust integration architectures for AI Agents, ensuring reliable automation across platforms like Salesforce and Zendesk. The engineer will establish data foundations, implement AI safety guardrails, and drive technical excellence in workflow orchestration.
Responsibilities
- Design and own integration architecture for AI Agents operating across internal and third-party platforms.
- Build production-grade API integrations with secure authentication, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
- Develop structured data pipelines and normalized schemas to provide predictable JSON inputs for LLMs.
- Implement guardrails, validation rules, and safety checks to ensure responsible and accurate AI behavior.

Requirements
