Apple is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer to drive the next generation of video technology for its global product line. The role focuses on researching and implementing practical ML algorithms in computer vision, image/video generation, representation learning, and compression. You will work at the frontier of machine learning to redefine user experiences for billions of customers.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop practical ML algorithms for video processing and generation
- Design and prototype deep learning models for computer vision tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into Apple products
- Contribute to cutting-edge research in representation learning and data compression
Requirements
- BS degree with minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience
- 3+ years hands-on experience in ML research (Ph.D. work counts)
- Proven track record in deep learning with publications in top ML/CV venues
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong understanding of deep learning principles, architecture design, and debugging
