Anaplan is seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of 5-8 AI engineers in building and scaling their Enterprise Grade AI Platform. The role focuses on driving the roadmap for conversational, generative, and agentic AI systems while maintaining strong technical involvement in production deployment. You will establish engineering best practices, manage delivery roadmaps, and mentor talent within a collaborative, innovation-driven culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5-8 AI engineers
- Drive end-to-end execution of conversational and agentic AI features
- Establish engineering best practices including testing strategies and evaluation frameworks
- Own the team's delivery roadmap and manage technical trade-offs with product management
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI applications
- Collaborate with AI Solutions Architects to translate architectural vision into executable plans
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience leading engineering teams
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI applications in production
- Deep knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and conversational AI patterns
- Experience with agentic frameworks and autonomous agent architectures
