Pinnipedia, a Berlin-based startup, is building a cloud platform for automated IT-security concept creation. They are hiring a Senior AI / Knowledge Graph Engineer to own the end-to-end pipeline that transforms unstructured documents into a validated, queryable knowledge graph using LLMs and graph databases.

• LLM extraction pipelines: document chunking, property extraction, cross-chunk reconciliation, structured output agents.
• Knowledge graph schema design (Pydantic models, Cypher), indexing, evolution, and migration.
• Deterministic rule engines for non-LLM components.
• Data validation, quality enforcement, eval harnesses.
• Live data ops: backfills, migrations, observability, incident response.

• 5+ years shipping data/AI systems to production.
• Strong Python and SQL; PostgreSQL experience.
• Production experience with graph databases (Neo4j preferred).
• Production LLM pipeline experience (structured output, agent orchestration, evaluation).
• Durable workflow orchestration (Temporal, Airflow, etc.).
• Test-first discipline.
• Fluent English.

• Experience with regulated/compliance domains.
• Designed deterministic evaluators alongside LLMs.
• Contributions to data contracts or ontology work.
• German language skills.
