Amazon Devices is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to architect and deliver core capabilities for its Edge AI ML Platform. This role focuses on building scalable infrastructure for distributed training, model optimization, evaluation, and deployment across multi-node GPU clusters and edge devices. You will design stable APIs, optimize GPU performance, and establish robust CI/CD and observability pipelines for generative AI models.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and delivery of distributed ML platform services for model training, optimization, and deployment
- Design distributed training capabilities across data, tensor, pipeline, and model parallelism
- Develop infrastructure connecting distributed training with model compression, quantization, and distillation techniques
- Build automated validation, CI/CD, regression testing, and observability mechanisms for GPU-intensive workloads
- Profile and optimize end-to-end system performance alongside applied scientists and kernel engineers
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years leading system design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience mentoring, tech leading, or managing engineering teams
