Workday is seeking a Senior or Principal Software Development Engineer to join the AI Model Serving team. This role focuses on building and scaling the infrastructure that powers production AI workloads, including LLMs and traditional ML models, across distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design decisions for high-performance, scalable AI model serving platforms.
- Design and maintain large-scale distributed systems for moving ML models to production.
- Manage the production model registry and ensure robust vendor interfaces (Bedrock, Gemini).
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot production issues to ensure platform reliability.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep proficiency in Python for production-level code and framework development.
- Experience with serving and monitoring both LLMs and traditional ML models.
- Strong communication skills for writing design documents and mentoring engineers.
