Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for Bedrock AgentCore Harness, the managed service that lets developers define, deploy, and operate production-ready AI agents through configuration rather than custom orchestration infrastructure. You will build control plane APIs and data plane services powering secure agent execution, tool orchestration, memory, session isolation, and observability at scale. The role centers on hard distributed systems problems — low-latency streaming, multi-tenant scalability, and reliability — as well as simplifying the agent development journey across APIs, SDKs, and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate highly available control plane APIs, data plane services, and managed agent loops for production AI agents
- Build secure, isolated execution capabilities spanning tool orchestration, memory, context management, streaming, identity, networking, and observability
- Develop integrations between Amazon Bedrock, third-party models, AgentCore services, MCP servers, AWS Step Functions, and Strands Agents
- Implement versioning, progressive deployment, rollback, evaluation, and optimization capabilities that help customers safely improve agent behavior
- Analyze and improve latency, scalability, availability, resource efficiency, and cost controls across multi-tenant workloads
- Simplify the developer journey across APIs, SDKs, CLI, console, and infrastructure as code with cohesive abstractions, templates, and automation
