AI Engineer (Senior Level)

Xiaomi is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join their search team. This role involves architecting end-to-end search systems, building query understanding pipelines, and developing scalable production ML systems. The engineer will design search relevance and ranking, deploy and monitor ML models, and mentor junior team members.

• Architect end-to-end search systems

• Develop retrieval, ranking, and reranking pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers
• Optimize relevance, latency, and scalability

• Strong background in Information Retrieval, NLP, and Machine Learning
• Experience with query understanding, semantic parsing, and vector search
• Proficiency in Java and real-time data processing
• Experience deploying and monitoring ML models in production
• Knowledge of Faiss or similar vector search tools
