KAYAK is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain AI-driven features for its travel search platform. The role focuses on implementing production-ready software for AI-assisted search, conversational planning, and smart filters using Java. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable production software for travel-search and trip-planning experiences.
- Build and evolve APIs and services supporting AI-assisted search and conversational travel planning.
- Investigate technical problems and choose practical solutions to improve reliability and performance.
- Contribute to features such as ASK AI, smart filters, and AI-generated review summaries.
- Monitor production behavior through debugging, observability, and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
