AI Engineer

Build the creative layer for AI as an AI Engineer at a well-funded startup. Develop agent harnesses, evaluation pipelines, synthetic data generation, and retrieval infrastructure. This is a backend-heavy full-stack role.

• Build AI core: agent harnesses, memory loops, self-improvement systems, evaluation pipelines, synthetic data generation
• Design retrieval at scale: embedding and indexing infrastructure, crawling and scraping systems
• Ship product surface: internal tools for data ops, external tools for clients, gamified flows
• Own inference stack: APIs, serving, tooling for reliability and speed

• 4+ years of full-stack or backend engineering, with startup or hyper-growth experience
• Shipped real AI systems: agent frameworks, RAG pipelines, embedding infrastructure, fine-tuning workflows
• Strong Python, comfortable with React, cloud infra, and CI/CD
• Comfortable with crawling, scraping, and large-scale data processing
• Curiosity about taste, design, and subjective quality
