AI Engineer - Remote

Mutual of Omaha is hiring an AI Engineer to lead the design and implementation of machine learning and generative AI applications for its Workplace Solutions division. The role involves building LLM-powered solutions, defining AI strategy, and operationalizing AI/ML capabilities across the enterprise. You'll work with AWS technologies and full-stack frameworks while mentoring teams on AI best practices. This is a remote position open to candidates worldwide.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI and generative AI solutions leveraging large language models.
• Collaborate with business leadership to define ML/GenAI roadmap and governance.
• Build and iterate on AI/ML proofs of concept, data/feature pipelines, and model workflows.
• Establish standards for governance, ethical AI, and secure model deployment.
• Mentor teams on LLM-powered applications, context engineering, and orchestration patterns.
• Integrate data solutions with microservices and event-based architectures.

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or quantitative field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years deploying full-stack applications in enterprise environments.
• Experience integrating AI/ML solutions into full-stack applications.
• Full-stack development with React or Vue, Python, TypeScript, git, SQL, CI/CD, and DevOps.
