About the Role
Lead AI/ML Engineer at UnitedHealth Group to design and deploy enterprise-scale ML systems for behavioral health. Leverage deep learning, NLP, and generative AI to improve health outcomes. Work remotely nationwide or hybrid in MN/DC.
Responsibilities
- Own discovery, technical scoping, design, build, and deploy production-grade ML models
- Design and implement end-to-end MLOps pipelines
- Evaluate emerging AI/ML trends and optimize existing models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years software development experience
- 2+ years AI/ML engineering with production ML models
- 2+ years Python and core ML libraries
- 2+ years MLOps pipelines (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
Nice to Have
- Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG
- Experience with Spark, Ray
- Healthcare sector experience
- Strong communication skills
