iManage is hiring an early-career Applied AI Engineer to join its Applied AI team in Chicago. You will help build and ship production AI systems for the iManage enterprise work platform, including Ask iManage, a generative AI document assistant, along with document classification, extraction, and LLM-driven features. The role covers the full ML lifecycle — model development, evaluation, and cloud deployment — with guidance and mentorship from senior engineers. This is a full-time hybrid role requiring in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to AI systems across the ML lifecycle, from model development and evaluation to production serving
- Write, test, and maintain production-quality code for ML/LLM features and APIs
- Build and run evaluations that measure model quality and catch regressions
- Support deployment and monitoring of ML systems on cloud infrastructure while learning CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Build internal platform tooling that makes it faster and safer for the team to ship AI systems
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders while taking ownership of well-scoped work
Requirements
- Graduating December 2026 or May 2027 with a degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field
