American Express is seeking an Early Career AI Engineer I to join its Enterprise Technology Services team in Palo Alto. This role focuses on developing, testing, and responsibly scaling AI-enabled solutions, including LLM integrations and intelligent services. The position requires a Master's degree in a technical field and foundational experience with Python, machine learning concepts, and modern AI systems.
Responsibilities
- Support development, testing, and integration of AI/ML models and LLM integrations
- Assist with data collection, preprocessing, and validation for model training
- Debug and improve AI solutions for performance, reliability, and explainability
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to implement AI-driven solutions
- Document model parameters, prompts, and technical decisions for reproducibility
Requirements
