Turing is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join its Enterprise AI unit in New York City. This role involves working directly with Fortune 500 clients to identify high-value business problems and architecting production-grade agentic AI systems. The engineer will own the end-to-end lifecycle from discovery and architecture to deployment, evaluation, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to navigate ambiguity, uncover high-value opportunities, and translate complex business needs into technical direction.
- Architect and build production AI systems including multi-agent workflows, orchestration, tool use, context engineering, memory/state management, and RAG.
- Own outcomes end-to-end, including evaluation, observability, security, reliability, latency, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Lead solutions from discovery through deployment while maintaining hands-on involvement in system design and implementation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of deep production engineering experience building sophisticated software systems.
- Expertise in Python, backend systems, APIs, databases, distributed systems, system design, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience building production LLM and agent systems using orchestration, tool use, context engineering, memory/state, retrieval, and multistep workflows.
