About the Role
Tulip, an AI-native frontline operations platform, is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to design and ship AI agents and LLM-powered tools for internal teams. The role involves partnering with business units, building agentic solutions on a full-stack TypeScript platform, and driving AI adoption across the company. Hybrid work in Somerville, MA.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to identify and build high-leverage AI solutions
- Build and ship AI agents that non-technical teams love using
- Translate messy business problems into clear, ROI-driven agentic solutions
- Architect and build the internal agentic AI platform with secure integrations
- Track external AI developments and shape internal AI strategy
- Contribute to AI enablement through learning programs and coaching
Requirements
- 5+ years of software experience with hands-on AI/LLM work
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, and RAG in production
- Full-stack proficiency in TypeScript or similar, plus API design and integration (RESTful services)
- Track record of building internal tools adopted by non-technical teams
Nice to Have
- Production experience with AWS or GCP
