TikTok's Search Growth E-commerce team is developing the search recommendation algorithm for its global e-commerce platform using cutting-edge ML, NLP, CV, and multi-modal technology. The role focuses on elevating search recommendation services, optimizing the recommender system for hyperscale models, and advancing short text and recommendation technology. The team aims to deliver the ultimate e-commerce search experience to over 1 billion users.
Responsibilities
- Elevate search recommendation services and models for TikTok E-commerce, driving heightened e-commerce search traffic and enhancing user search and purchasing cognition.
- Optimize the recommender system, focusing on hyperscale machine learning models across recall/first-stage ranking to final-stage ranking.
- Push the boundaries of short text and general recommendation technology, emphasizing interaction between recommendation and NLP.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to teammates.
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in machine learning.
- Good product sense with focus on user experience and E-commerce business.
- Domain knowledge or work experience in modern Recommendation, Search, Advertisement, or E-commerce.
- Bachelor or advanced degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
