Atlassian is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer for its Agentic Search team to develop intelligent search capabilities for Rovo Chat and AI-driven workflows. Responsibilities
- Design and optimize ML-powered search skills integrating with agentic architectures
- Develop and maintain production ML pipelines for search relevance using reranking and embeddings
- Drive end-to-end experimentation including offline evaluation and online A/B testing
- Collaborate with product and applied science partners to translate user needs into scalable ML solutions
- Contribute to evaluation infrastructure and data tooling to accelerate iteration
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building ML systems at scale
- Familiarity with search/information retrieval, NLP, or LLM-based systems
- Ability to operate independently and drive technical decisions in a fast-paced environment
